Tracy Lea Carnes’ debut novel, EXCESS BAGGAGE, is a humorous yet inspiring glimpse of Kelly, a careerless, thirty-year-old woman, who moves back home to her tragically dependent mother after the death of her overbearing father in order to rediscover herself. That novel was an alternate pick in 2010 with The International Pulpwood Queens and Timber Guys Book Club. She also appeared that year as a feature author at the annual Pulpwood Queen’s Girlfriend Weekend in Jefferson, Texas. 2023 will see her again at Girlfriend Weekend where THE DARLINGS OF SUNDANCE will be a featured selection. She is also an award-winning playwright who currently lives in Shreveport, Louisiana.
